BST W/ PSSR (Basic Safety Training)
IMO Model Course Nos. 1.19, 1.20, 1.13 & 1.21

Open to:

All Officers, Ratings, Prospective staff/personnel of cruise ships/pleasure craft and Representative of agencies/maritime schools involved in the development of maritime manpower

Course Intake:

24 Trainees

Requirements:      

  1. Photocopy of medical certificate issued at least six (6) months from the start of BST from physician w/ license number of medical record
  2. Two (2) pieces latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)
  3. Applicants should be at least 17 years old

 

NWKC (Ratings Forming Part of Navigational Watch)
MTC 97-0014

Open to:

Deck Ratings and Representative of agencies involved in the development of maritime power

Course Intake:

24 Trainees

Requirements:      

  1. * Photocopy of Diploma, Certificate of Vocational Courses or maritime company identification card (for agency representatives)
  2. * Photocopy of Diploma or Transcript of Records completed the academic requirements of BSMT/BSMarE (for deck and engine ratings)
  3. Two (2) pieces latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)

Note: * Exclusive for MAAP midshipmen/women who completed two years academic portion of the courses offered (photocopy of the latest registration form)

 

EWKC (Ratings Forming Part of Engine Watch)
MTC 97-001

Open to:

Engine ratings and Representative of agencies involved in the development of maritime power.

Course Intake:

24 Trainees

Requirements:

RNRPA (Radar Navigation at Operational Level)
Radar Navigation, Radar Plotting and Use of ARPA
IMO Model Course 1.07

OIC or 3/M, 2/M, C/M, Captain and Harbor, Customs Patrol & working on-board a watercraft

Course Intake:

24 Trainees

Requirements:      

For Deck Officers:

  1. Photocopy of valid PRC License or Certificate
  2. Two (2) pieces latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)

For those who passed the 3/M or OIC Licensure Examination but not yet issued with PRC License:

  1. Photocopy of the results of license examination indicating they passed the 3/M or OIC Licensure Examination
  2. Two (2) pieces latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background).

For those who are to take the 3/M or OIC Licensure Examination:

  1. Photocopy of Transcript of Records
  2. Photocopy of Shipboard Experience Certificate or Sea-Going Service Record
  3. Two (2) pieces latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)

For those who are not licensed deck officers but working on board a watercraft:

  1. Photocopy of certificate of previous or current employment on board a watercraft
  2. Two (2) pieces latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)

 

RSC ( Radar Simulator Center)
IMO Model Course 1.09

Open to:

All Deck Officers: OIC or 3/M, 2/M, C/M and Captain

Course Intake:

24 Trainees

Requirements:

  2. Photocopy of ROC Certificate or certification that the enrollee passed the ROC Course

Note: * Per advise of PRC, graduating MAAP Midshipmen/graduates of Bridging Program can already take ERS with practical assessment before taking the PRC Licensure Examination

1. Entry requirements are based on the Entry Standards of MTC and IMO Model Courses. Additional requirements are for the Training Center’s use.
