COURSES OFFERED - IN HOUSE
(AMOSUP Seamen's Training Center)

FF (Fire Fighting)

Open to:

All seafarers involve in fire fighting including Safety Officers

Course Intake:

24 Trainees

Requirements:      

  1. Applicants should be at least 18 years old
  2. Photocopy of medical certificate issued at least six (6) months or medical records issued at least one (1) year form the start of training
  3. One (1) piece latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)

Note: PN/PCG/PMA can exceed the number of trainees per class (24).

 

FFLB (Free-Fall Lifeboat Familiarization)

Open to:

All off-shore personnel and seafarers.

Course Intake:

18 Trainees

Requirements:      

  1. Photocopy of Basic Safety Training Certificate (BST) or Seafarer’s Identification Record Book (SIRB)
  2. Photocopy of AMOSUP ID or any Certificate of AMOUSP membership
  3. Photocopy of medical certificate issued at least six (6) months or medical records issued at least one (1) year from the start of the training
  4. One (1) piece latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background).

Note: For foreign seafarers, local manning agents should issue a certification that the seafarer(s) is physically/medically fit for work aboard ship and have undergone Basic Safety Training (BST)

 

FFLC (Free-Fall Lifeboat Coxswain)

Open to:

All off-shore personnel and seafarers

Course Intake:

18 Trainees

Requirements:      

  1. Photocopy of Basic Safety Training Certificate (BST) or Seafarer’s Identification Record Book (SIRB)
  2. Photocopy of AMOSUP ID or any Certificate of AMOSUP membership
  3. Photocopy of medical certificate issued at least six (6) months or medical record issued at least one (1) year from the start of training.
  4. One (1) piece latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background).

BEFWKC
(Bridge Equipment Familiarization and Watch Keeping Course)

Open to:

All off-shore personnel and seafarers

Course Intake:

24 Trainees

Requirements:      

  1. Basic knowledge on Bridge/Engine Equipments/BST Certificate
  2. One (1) piece latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)

 

EREFWKC
(Engine Room Equipment Familiarization and Watch Keeping Course)

Open to:

All off-shore personnel and seafarers

Course Intake:

24 Trainees

Requirements:      

  1. Basic knowledge on Bridge/Engine Equipments/BST Certificate
  2. One (1) piece latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)

 

CC (Chef’s Course)

Open to:

All Seafarers who have served as Chief Cook on-board ship and/or oil rig platform

Course Intake:

10 Trainees

Requirements:      

  1. Applicants should be 21 years old
  2. Photocopy of SIRB and Passport
  3. Photocopy of any related training/seminar certificate (Culinary Arts)
  4. Photocopy of Medical and Physical Examination from a MARINA accredited hospital or clinic
  5. Four (4) pieces latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)

Note: In reference with MOA between MAAP and CRAFT screening of trainees for enrollment are done by the CRAFT. Entry requirements were verified by craft.

 

EAWC (Electric Arc Welding and Cutting)

Open to:

All Seafarers who are involved in maintenance job aboard ship; prospective seafarers recommended by company/sponsor

Course Intake:

8 Trainees

Requirements:      

  1. Photocopy of medical certificate issued at least six (6) months or medical records issued at least one (1) year from the start of training
  2. Two (2) piece latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)

 

GW (Gas Welding)

Open to:

All Seafarers who are involved in maintenance job aboard ship; prospective seafarers recommended by company/sponsor

Course Intake:

8 Trainees

Requirements:      

  1. Photocopy of medical certificate issued at least six (6) months or medical records issued at least one (1) year from the start of training
  2. Two (2) pieces latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)

 

ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle)

Open to:

All off-shore personnel and seafarers

Course Intake:

10 Trainees

Requirements:      

  1. Applicants should be graduate of BS in Electronics and Communication Engineering (BSECE) or BS in Mechatronics
  2. Photocopy of Course Diploma
  3. Photocopy of medical certificate issued at least six (6) months or medical records issued at least one (1) year from the start of training
  4. Two (2) pieces latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)

 

SCC (Second Cook Course)

Open to:

All Seafarers who have served as Second Cook on-board ship and/or oil rig platform

Course Intake:

30 Trainees

Requirements:      

  1. Applicants should be graduate of 2-year/4-year course in Hotel and Restaurant Management
  2. Photocopy of Course Diploma
  3. Photocopy of medical certificate in PEME form issued by DOH-accredited clinic/hospital
  4. One (1) piece latest colored picture 1 ½ by 1 ½ inches in size (at least without headgear and in a white background)
